Sometimes you may need to change the publication date of an existing blog post or news article.
For example, you may want to freshen up the content, make some changes or edits, or perhaps just modify dates for another reason.
You can also use the "publication date" function to schedule posts to be published at a future date / time.
To Change The Publication Date of a Single Post
1. Log in to your website's WordPress admin, click on Posts on the left menu.
2. On the post you wish to change, click "Edit"
3. At the top right of the post screen, under Publish you will see something like this:

4. You can change any of the properties by clicking "Edit" - e.g. change the publication date to any date or time you wish. When done, click the blue "Update" button.
To Schedule a post for a future date / time publication
If you have some spare time, you may wish to write your news / blog articles and schedule these Posts to be published "in the future".
To do so, simply follow the steps above for an existing article and then follow the steps below.
If it's a new Post, you can also follow these steps too:
1) Instead of clicking Publish - simply choose a future date and time - then click on the update button.
2) The post will become "scheduled".
3) You can return any time you like to modify the date / time or any other setting!
